The SfEP is a professional organization based in the UK for editors, proofreaders, companies, and associate members whose aim is to make text accurate and readable. It has a code of practice for all members, designed to “establish and maintain standards of best practice for members and associates of the SfEP and to encourage good professional relationships”.
